Upon Request of the Mayor, Rescindment of Borrowing Authorization totaling $232,396 - $100,000 authorized by City Council in June 2023, Order no.2023-042-002 for Literacy Unlimited Area at the Library and Rescindment of $132,396, the balance of the 2015 Annual Town Meeting voted borrowing authorization for Police Building Boilers (Article 12AM); Request for Borrowing Authorization up to $200,000 for the purchase of Police Body Cameras; Request for Authorization to Enter into 5-Year Contracts for the Purchase and Support of the Police Body Cameras. ——— Upon request of the Mayor, a referral to the Finance Subcommittee approval of a 5- year contract for tasers for the Police Department.

Dept. of Justice Grant 00:19:11

Upon request of the Mayor, accept the US Department of Justice grant totaling $29,919 and authorize appropriation of the grant for community policing.

The primary mission of The Government Channel network is to provide live gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Board of Health, City Council, Disability Commission, Licensing Commission, Planning Board, School Committee, Traffic Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals. However, when those boards are not meeting, the Government Channel provides coverage of various public affairs events. The Government Channel cable operation provides programming by governmental bodies and agencies to inform residents and encourage participation in local government.
